With over 32 years of experience in the ICT field and the last six and half years as Group CIO of Vodacom Group, I have built up an extensive array of knowledge and expertise that would help many organisations in their Digital and IT strategies, thus providing a Consulting and Advisory service to them would be a very natural thing for me to pursue after leaving Vodacom.
Having trained as an executive coach, I would love to couple my IT experience with that of coaching and add further value in helping executives create high performance teams. This is also my way of contributing back to others in watching them grow and help accelerate their development.
Many Boards today lack strong IT/Technology experience, the need for a strong focus on cyber security and the requirements of King IV, all of which I have experience in and fulfilled at Vodacom reporting into the Group Audit committee. Supporting Boards in these disciplines would be an honour and a privilege.
Technology is evolving at a phenomenal rate and the next Facebook or Google could come from anywhere. Being involved with start-ups would be an exciting way to remain current and even bet on the future.
